Howdy hoda,
Here we go again, this week we brewed a festive summer wheat ale. I hear wheat beer detracts mosquitos...
9Lbs Muntons Pale Malt
8Lbs Light Wheat Malt
2/3 LB Munich Malt - 50-60L
1LB Carafoam malt(helps with head retention)
so we mashed it about in the lower 150's(about 152) for two hours
Sparge at 170 to finish off the starch to sugar conversion and drain all that yummy sweet malt
Boiled for 60 minutes
60 min- 62 Gram Hallertau Hop Pellets
last 15 minutes
add 1.5 Cups Maple syrup
40 Grams Hallertau Hops
2 Tsp. Irish moss(for clarity)
Finish boil, cool
Pitch with WYeast 3068
Yeast orgy
WE'll drink el and let you know
Peace
