Upping the Ante

We upped the ante on this one using 50lbs of grain in 15 gallons.

Grain
  • 48 lbs pale
  • 5 lbs Caravienne (Belgian light crystal)
  • 2.5 oz roasted
Hops
  • 2 oz Northern Brewer
  • 1.5 oz UK First Gold
  • 1- 1.5 oz Halterau and 1-1.5 oz Sterling
Adjuncts
  • 2lbs Belgian candy sugar

Belgian Summer Part 2

This week we began a new run of Belgians. We were going for a simple Chimay style.

Grain (all weights estimated):
  • 20lbs of Pale
  • 4lbs crystal
Hops:
  • 2 1/4 oz Northern Brewer
  • 2oz Sterling
  • Haltertau
We used a Belgian Abbey Ale Yeast
